I am a professional pilot and have been since 1983 when I started life as a very young helicopter pilot for the UK military.  After 20 years in various roles such as Search and Resuce, Anti Submarine Warfare and Army Support I left the military and turned my back on rotating blades!  I became a business jet pilot, and have been since 2004, initially flying the Cessna Citation Bravo and, currently, captaining the Dassault Falcon 2000 EX EASy.

One of my other roles within the company I work for is as a Ground Instructor, where I lecture on Aircraft Safety Equipment and Emergency Procedures (SEP).  The company flies under EU Ops 1, so although its a bizjet operation we still have to abide by normal airline rules.  One of these is that every pilot and flight attendant has to be lectured on SEP every year, which is where I come in.

In developing courses for the company I have become quite knowledgeable about the subject of SEP, but as I get older I find I am starting to forget what I learnt!  So I decided to put it all down in this site so I have somewhere to go to instead of trawling through all my files at work.  And as I believe that all information should be shared, I would like you to use this site as an information resource too.

Take your time, come back often, and I will endevour to keep writing and updating.

Also, please share your thoughts on the subject with me.
